Im going to miss you so much lady... to not see you sweeping outside your door to running the traffic of the pjs down the street." y'all ain't gotta go home but get from in front of my door." Lol couldn't do nothing but respect it. Laughing and joking and if I ever wanted to know the truth I'd ask Val cause when nobody else was willing to tell me what was real she did.. ill miss riding by and not seeing you smile and wave... to sum it all up Val you will be truly missed by so many we will continue to keep you here with us in memory... we love you Val Rest Peacefully

I remember val slapped me for talking back when I was fifteen years old she the only person I had respect for at that age it wasn't because she slapped me why I respected her it was the message she gave me as to why I got slapped she said it dont matter what lifestyle a person has you respect your elder I knew my cousin would go to war for me because she loved me enough to let me know I was headed for disaster and sometimes you have to be slapped to get the hint. My cousin demanded her respect from every one and that's something I will carry with me forever in her memory I will always love Valerie young forever you will be greatly missed lady

Val, I will always remember the day you & Shyteria walked by my house on 18th Ave (2002) & I hollered at you through my window asking if you remembered who I was from being over at Angie & Ellie's on Howard, you said "yea" & we started to kick it that same day! You would walk over from your mom's & we'd spend our days running around going here & there. You & Ms. Mary always welcomed me into your home & you never missed bringing me a plate from your mama's loaded with my favorite, greens!!! I left for 7 years & you were the 1st person I saw when I came back & we created many more fun & crazy memories. Yea, we had sum different opinions at times, but only real friends will "tell you like it is". You were never afraid to speak your mind & showed me that it was okay to speak mine. I know you are now at peace, resting in paradise & smiling down upon us all :-) I can't say it enough, Mooky, I love ya girl!
