Ozie M. Turner, born as Ossie Sims, was born on September 27, 1926 in Wiggins, Mississippi, to the union of Fannie Dean and Ollie Sims.
Ozie met and fell in love and marreid Ed Turner. She lived in Rokford for seven years, coming from Gulfport, Mississippi. She was baptized as a Jehovah Witness in 1985, and she faithfully attended with her friend, Hiawatha Evans and her gandson, Jermille (Maggie) Johnson.
Ozie leaves behind one son, Wille Patton of Gulfport, Mississippi; one brother, John Sims of Rockford; a host of nieces and nephews; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; one sister and three brothers.
