Eloise Christine Beal, 95, transcended to her heavenly home on May 3, 2015. She was born January 4, 1920 in Shiloh AL to Bura & Trudie Hayes. She attended & graduated from Marengo County Training School in Thomaston AL, AL State Teachers College in Montgomery AL & NIU - Dekalb IL. Eloise married Roosevelt Beal on July 14, 1945 & to this union three children were born: Orris, Olen Sr and Beth Ann. Upon moving to Rockford she was a "House Mother" @ the Boys Farm School, Durand IL. Her teaching journey began in 1953 for the Board of Education District 205, retiring in 1982. Later she continued working at The Gathering Place, American Heart Assoc & DCFS. She was an active member of organizations: The Hob Knobbers, Afternoon Art Club, Booker Washington Center & Friends of Booker. She has been an active member of Providence Baptist Church since 1954 in the Chancel Choir & Deacon/Trustee Wives board. She was the recipient of a 2005 Super Senior Award & a 2015 Selah Award.
Eloise leaves to cherish her legacy: Children - Orris (Gloria), Milw WI; Olen Sr (Mechele) & Beth Ann, Rkfd IL; Grandchildren - Olen Jr, Rkfd IL; Christopher, Milw WI; Jeremy, Chicago IL & Amy, Tomah WI; Great Granddaughter - Olivia, Rkfd IL; Sister - Terethea Stacy, Shiloh AL; & Special Niece - Christine Jackson, Rkfd IL.
Eloise is predeceased by parents, husband & brother R. T. Hayes, Sr.
