Rockford -  Willie Lee Williams, 71, departed this earthy life on June 7, 2023. He was born September 7, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to the Nathan Williams and Annie Frances Hughes. Willie attended Dusable High School and later graduated St. Leonard's adult High School in Chicago. He spent several years supporting and advocating for people who struggled with addiction. Willie will forever be remembered for his contagious smile, cheerful sense of humor and loving personality. He was often called the gentle giant because he would always fuss when things didn't go his way but his grumpiness didn't last long. Leaving to cherish loving memories are Daughter: Frances (Antwain) Farmer Surprise, AZ. Grandchildren: Darionte, Jaevon, Mariah, Kenya and Trinity. Great Grandchildren Darionte, Jr. Dalonte, Dashona, Darionna, Ca'Riyah, Janiylah, Ja'Siah, Prince and a host of extended relatives and friends.
