Willie Mae (NeNe) Glover-Lockett was born April 30, 1953, she was born to the late Willie Glover and Juanita Holliman Glover. Willie Mae departed this early life on May 22, 2021 in her home after a short illness.
Willie Mae(NeNe) received her education from Jefferson High School in Rockford, IL. She was employed by Collins & Stone Funeral Home for many years as a nurses aid before becoming a homemaker and a nurse for many churches throughout Rockford. Willie Mae's greatest love was the lord, doing his work, and reading his word. She loved helping others. She was always there to comfort the grieving no matter who you were. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.
Willie Mae (NeNe) leaves to cherish her special memories, husband, Robert Lockett of 28 years, three beautiful daughters, Tracy, Nikki, and Felicia Glover; one handsome son, Maurice Glover; one sister, Ernestine (Everett) Glover-McCoy; 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren; two aunts, Eva Harrington and Estella Jefferson; god mother, Ruby Harris; special sisters, Carolyn Williams and Cleta (Kent) Berryhill; special brother, Renaldo Stone; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Stacey Glover; three brothers, Henry, Lamar, and Willie James Glover; four sisters, Joann Johnson, Rosemary, Operte, and Carolyn Glover; two granddaughters, E'Dresse Darden, and E'Dresse Glover; maternal grandparents, Mary Lee Scott, Minor and Cora (Rivers) Holliman; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Corrine Glover.
