Willie Clay Dixon Jr.

Willie Clay Dixon, Jr. transitioned from his earthly home on May 22, 2024. He was born on September 16, 1936 in Adrain, Georgia to Willie Dixon Sr. and Helen Brooks-Dixon.

Willie received his high school diploma and on May 26, 1961 in Opa Locka, Florida he married the late Irma Lee Nelson. He was enlisted into the United States Army where he would serve and dedicate his life to the country for over 28 years. He would later advance in his rankings and displayed his outstanding leadership skills as he would serve as 1st Sargent (4 years), Sr. Drill Sargent (2 years), Sr. Instructor (6 years), Combat engineer (6 years). He also served as a ROTC teacher at Auburn and East High School in Rockford, IL. Willie was a member of The Legions VA club for decades.

Leaving to cherish many loving memories are his Daughter in Law Laveta Dixon; Grandchildren Marion Clay Dixon II and Ciara Dixon; Great Grandchildren: Amarah Dixon and Marion Clay Dixon III.
Willie was predeceased by Willie Clay Dixon, Sr. , Irma Lee Dixon, Helen Brooks Dixon and Marion Clay Dixon.
