Tracy Harris-Boyd Obituary

Tracy Antoinette Harris - Boyd was born on October 2, 1975 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to Wallace and Patty Harris. She was a loving, motherly child who enjoyed caring for her brother Jamie and sister Erica. She received her general studies at Jefferson High School and later furthered her education at Hopkins Community College in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Life led Tracy on a journey of love with Brandon Boyd. They loved for years and married on May 30, 2015. In their years together, Tracy’s natural motherly instincts were displayed in the nurturing of her marriage and her children Demetrius, Takyla, Brandon, and Tradon. Her heart was full as she felt blessed to be able to love and guide them. She received an abundance of love as a doting grandmother to Demetria and Jamarion. They were her life. They meant the world to her and she was definitely theirs.

Tracy spent 12 years caring for others in the Rockford Health System. She moved on and changed paths, becoming a Correctional Officer at the Charles B. Bass Correctional Complex in Nashville, TN. Accepting that her passion and calling was caring for others, she returned to healthcare with her final role as a a CNA at Crimson Pointe Senior Living in Rockford, Illinois.  As Tracy’s health began to decline, her fight grew stronger. She didn’t let it stop her.

She fought a good fight. On August 15, 2021, GOD had his say. Tracy gained her guardian angels wings and flew home to be with the LORD. Her soul arrived to a party fit for a Queen. Meeting her at the Gates of Heaven were many. She received a warm greeting and many hugs from her paternal grandparents Cefus & Bernice Harris, maternal grandfather Thomas Morris, maternal great-grandparents O’dell & Justine Haymon, parents-in-law Margaret & James Boyd Jr., uncles James & Larry Harris, and nephew D’Amavlee Macklin.

While she ails, no more, Tracy leaves on this Earth to cherish her memory her father Wallace Harris, mother Patty Harris, husband Brandon Boyd, children Demetrius Harris, Takyla Boyd, Brandon Boyd Jr., and Tradon Boyd, grandchildren Demetria Harris and Jamarion Oden, grandparent Jessie Jones, brother Jamie Harris (Minishia), sister Erica Macklin (Amavlee), nieces Amijia Macklin, Tatiana Harris, and Jade Harris, aunts Judith Pete, Deborah Carter (Charles), Virginia Cole, Lenita Tipton (Andre), Arletha Smith, and Margaret Trice, uncles Thomas Morris Jr (Valarie), Larry Jones, Kenneth Jones, Eddie Harris, and Terry Harris, cousins Guanita Collier (Barry), Angie Corr, Chase Cole, James Hilman, and Terry Cork, and a host of other cousins and friends that became family, all whom will miss her dearly.
