Obituary for Tina Nicole Tilson

Tina Nicole Tilson passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at UW Health - Swedish American Hospital. She was born on August 10, 1979, in Rockford, Illinois, to James and Carolyn Tilson.

Tina attended Rockford Public Schools and later earned her GED. She furthered her education at Rockford Career College, aspiring to become a Medical Assistant. Above all, Tina’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted mother to LaMarcus, Lewis, and Faith. She was fiercely dedicated to ensuring their well-being and happiness.

Tina will be remembered for her infectious smile and her remarkable ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

She is survived by her loving children, LaMarcus Washington, Lewis Leavy, and Faith Lamon; her mother, Carolyn Tilson; her sister, Carlotta Thompson; her brother, Johnathan Tilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Tina was preceded in death by her father, James Tilson Sr.; her brother, James Tilson Jr.; her maternal grandparents, Gladys Jones and Willie Thompson; and her paternal grandparents, Izar and Fannie Tilson.

Tina’s love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family will be cherished forever.
