Steven Godlewski Obituary

Steven A. Godlewski was born November 12, 1950 in Acushnet, Massachusetts to Victor and Violet Godlewski. He is the oldest of three children.   The family moved to Connecticut in 1952.  Steven attended school in East Hartford, CT. Steven graduated from East Hartford High School in 1969.  He attended Manchester Community College (Liberal Arts), American Institute of Banking receiving Banking Certificate, National University (Computer and Business Administration), University of New York Extension Program (towards BA in Computer and Business Administration) and Rockford Valley College (Business Administration).  Steve traveled from East Hartford, CT to Chicago, Illinois and working in banks for many years holding supervisory position.  He moved to Oklahoma briefly then moved to San Diego, Californiawhere his sister and brother-in-law lived.  After 5 years in San Diego he briefly moved to Florida and then to Rockford, Illinois where he lived the rest of his years.  His happiest moments were those he spent with his daughter.  Steven had many interests that kept him busy and connected with many people.  He loved tennis and gardening.  He loved animals especially cats and birds. He was old school, preferring to write letters instead of email or texts.  His religion was Buddhist like and Hermetic.  He had a kind, passionate, spiritual spirit and had a sense of humor right till the end. 

Steven passed away on August 21, 2020 and leaves to cherish his memories of Sara, his daughter, Violet, his mother, Susan, his sister, Leonard, his brother, Debra, his cousin, and nieces, nephew, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
