Samuel Beasley

Samuel “Sammy” David Beasley, of ROCKFORD, Illinois departed this earthly life on September 20, 2023 after a long illness he was born on October 19, 1961 in Vance Mississippi to Willie Beasley, Jr. and Mary Francis Beasley. Samuel lived most of his life and attended schools in Rockford, Illinois. He was employed for several years at Goodwill industries and later became employed with the army reserves until he became ill.

Samuel is a faithful member at Mount Sinai Baptist Church, where he sang in the Male Chorus.  He loved music, dancing and playing darts. He also enjoyed football and love the Chicago Bears.

Sammy, leave the cherish in his memory, two sons Jawannand Eric Davis, one daughter, Shatyra Davis, eight grand children; father, Willie Beasley; one brother, Albert (Paula) Beasley; two sisters, Pearlene, and Jeanette Beasley all of Rockford,Illinois;  God brother Ronnie L. Cross of Toledo, Ohio;  and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, including special friends, Xavier Hoover and Calvin McMillan and Special nephew Dominic Fricks.

He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Francis Beasley; brother, Willie Beasley III; maternal grandparents, Albert and Alice Brown and paternal grandparents, Willie Sr. and Katie Beasley.
