Sam Huey Jackson Sr.

Sam was born May 8th 1940 in Monroe, Louisiana to Theodis Jackson and Katie Elmore.

Sam Attended schools in Monroe, Louisiana.  Sam loved fishing, gardening, western movies, and his family.  Sam was employed with Tyler Pipe, Greenlee-Bros and FDL/Rochelle foods until his retirement.

Sam was joined in holy matrimony to Barbara Lee (Jackson) Sims to which five children were born.  He later went on to marry Daisy Jackson.

Sam loved those that preceded his death:  his parents Katie Elmore and Theodis Jackson, Barbara Lee (Jackson) Sims, Daisy Jackson, his daughter Shelitha Jackson, his step-daughter Jamie Jo, his siblings, Lena Wiley Defroe, Tom, Huey, Thomas, Zella Mae, Catherine, and Zeola. 

Sam leaves to cherish his memories his children, JaNella Jackson, Barbara Jackson, Sam (Aja Hamer) Jackson, Palmer (Ernest) Phillips; his step-children, Juanita Beasley, Tanya Shady, and Mickey Shady; one sister, Bernice Jackson of Monroe Louisiana; followed by 24 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends.
