Richard James Nielsen

Richard J Nielsen 70, Stillman Valley passed away peacefully in his home on December 24, 2022, born March 14, 1952 son of William Nielsen and Elizabeth Riley Nielsen. 

Rick attended Oregon high school,  he married Deborah Miller on August 26, 1978.  Together they owned and operated Nielsen Core until his retirement in 2014.  Rick and Deb were avid NASCAR fans traveling to many races across the U.S. Rick enjoyed being with his family, building race cars and racing alongside his son.  

Rick is survived by his children, Rick Nielsen, Jr. of Rockford Nichole Stienmetz, Cara and Krista Nielsen of Stillman Valley; Krista Nielsen of Stillman Valley; nine grandsons, two granddaughters, three great grandchildren, sister, Nancy (Bill) Messenger of Oregon, brother, Steven Nielsen of Rockford.  

Proceeded in death by his wife, Deb; brothers, Bobby, Bill, and Larry; sisters, Linda, Gail, and Cindy.  

A celebration of life will be set by the family and held at a later date.
