Raymario "Mario" Anthwan Holmes was born on December 7, 1982, in Rockford, Illinois, to Gloria Holmes and Anthony Caldwell (Wanda). He graduated from Rockford East High School in 2001 and later pursued his passion for beauty and creativity by attending cosmetology school. After earning his license, he launched his own brand, Ray Styles, showcasing his talent and love for doing hair.

Mario had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for life. He enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing, and expressing himself through creativity. His presence lit up every room, and his laughter was contagious.

He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory always-his beloved grandmother Gwendolyn Mitchell (affectionately known as Pee Wee), four sisters: Rickisha Alexander, Rashanda "Coc" Holmes-Brown, Kerry Caldwell, and Tracy Caldwell; and four brothers: Richard "Munchy" Alexander, Anthony Caldwell, Marcus Gray, and William Caldwell; goddaughter, Ayana Brock. Mario was also adored by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, especially Alexis Clark, Leah Lambert-Durant and Kristin Camacho.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Virgie Suggs, and paternal grandparents, grandfather’s William Caldwell, Jesse Mitchell & great grandparents John and Mae Ruth Farris.

Raymario's warmth, talent, and joyous spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
