Ora Parr

Ora Lee Parr married Laverne Parr September 21, 1984. Ora attended Jefferson High School in Rockford, IL. After high school, she worked for the Rockford School district as a Cafeteria Aide and crossing guard for 4 years. She also pursued a career in nursing. Ora's home going June 29, 2021. Preceded in death by parents Allen & Mamie, also brother-Lionell Whitaker. She leaves to cherish her memories: Spouse: Laverne Parr. Children Betty Turner, Robert Turner, Joey Turner, Artlice Turner, Undary (Lady) Turner, Steve Turner, Karolyn Turner. She also proudly raised twins: Artlice & Martlice Thomas. Sibling: Barbara Sledge of , Flora Hopkins, Beverly March, and Jewell Sanchez all of Peoria, IL. 15 Grandchildren, including a special grandchild- Iven Love. A host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ora Lee Parr's greatest accomplishment dedicating her life to Christ in 1979. She served her community with love and compassion. She was well known by feeding the community. She was a member of West Rockford Community Church under the leadership of Pastor Roy A Whitmore. She was known in ministry as Mother Parr, a faithful prayer warrior. Also faithful in giving. Her greatest hope was for her children and grandchildren to give their lives to the Lord and receive Salvation.
