Ora Hamlin

Ora Hamlin 90 of ROCKFORD Illinois passed away from Alzheimer's disease on December 7, 2023 at CherryVale Place nursing home.  She was born in Durant, Mississippi on January 31, 1933 to Arthur Brown and Leanna McClellan Brown.  

She graduated from Durant high school class of 1951.  She moved to ROCKFORD in 1952 Married Joshua Williams, to this union  three children were born, Arthur, Joann, and Jeff she retired from Amrock. She was a member of Amrock bowling team and various other clubs and also a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  She loved gardening, traveling, knitting and of course shopping.  

Ora leaves to cherish her memories Arthur Williams of Milwaukee; Joann Williams of Phoenix; Jeff Williams of Los Angeles; grandsons, Tramayne Grant of Racine; Josh Williams of Los Angeles.  

Predeceased by both her parents; sister, Rose Perteete; husband, Jesse Hamlin; grandson, Brooklyn Williams.  

We are aware that our mother has many more relatives, friends, church members, and others that would have attended the services, but the family wanted a little more privacy at this time she will be missed. Thank you.
