Mykel Curry

Mykel James Curry was born April 17, 1990 in Rockford, IL.  The son of James Curry and Shannon Curry and the special son of Anthony Young.  He passed away on February 19, 2021.  Mykel was very protective of the people he loved; always a mommas boy, life of the party, very sharing, giving and a talented rap artist.  He attended Jefferson High School and Youth Build.  Later becoming employed at Northwest Community Center.  Mykel accepted Christ as his Lord and savior at St Luke Missionary Baptist Church.  He will be greatly missed by family and friends.  

He is survived by his grandmother, Wilodean Johnson; his loving parents, two children, Cyarah Mykia and Allie Rose; Sibling; Karissa Curry, Kiara Jackson, Tranesha Nichols, Jay Moore Jr., Jarrion Moore, Jarrell Moore Jniyah Richardson Jody Wilson; special cousin, Keith Curry Jr., special friends, Carizma Murphy, Loren Jones, Lamont Powell, Marty Cross, and Greg Clark.
