Michelle Jones, affectionately known as “Pink Panther” passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2025, at OSF Hospital in Rockford, Illinois, at the age of 56 due to injuries sustained in a car accident.
Michelle was born on June 4, 1968, in Rockford, Illinois, to her loving parents, Robert Lee Jones and Beverly Jane Broanax. She was a proud graduate of West High School, where she created lifelong memories and friendships that she cherished throughout her life.
Michelle married the love of her life, Mario Guzman and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Throughout her life, Michelle held a variety of jobs, always bringing her vibrant personality, strong work ethic, and infectious energy to everything she did. She found great joy in giving back to her community, volunteering as a lunch aide with District 205, where she brought smiles to countless children with her warmth and humor.
Michelle was a woman who truly lived life to the fullest. She loved to eat, travel, and test her luck with scratch-off tickets and at the casino. Known for her quick wit and hilarious jokes, Michelle had an infectious and unique laugh that could light up a room and bring joy to everyone around her. Her generous heart knew no bounds—she was always willing to help others, and her vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.
Michelle leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Christopher Jackson (Tammy James); her granddaughter, Kamaya McCraley; and her nephew-son, KeyShawn Jones. She is also survived by her loving brother, Robert Jones; her devoted sisters, Sharon Jefferson and Pamela Roberson (Andre); and her nieces, Andrea and Rebecca Roberson. She will be deeply missed by her special friends, Nicole Rivera and Diane Glover, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
A celebration of Michelle’s life will be held 1pm Friday, February 07, 2025 at The Park Church 801 Concord Family and friends are invited to come together to honor her memory, share stories, and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
Though Michelle is no longer with us in person, her spirit, laughter, and the love she shared will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
