Margaret Ann Williams-Jenkins, of Rockford, Illinois, departed this earthly life and entered eternity on September 16, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born on November 18, 1958, in Rockford, Illinois, to the late Webster “Buddy” Williams and L.V. Williams.
In the early 1980s, Margaret married Arnold Jenkins in Belvidere, Illinois. Over the years, she worked for several companies before retiring. Margaret was blessed with two children in the early 1970s: Renetta King and Antonio Williams, both of Rockford, Illinois.
To those who knew her best, Margaret was truly the life of the party. She loved to dance, listen to music, and was admired as a sharp dresser with an eye for style. She also had an incredible gift for decorating and bringing warmth and beauty to every place she lived. Affectionately nicknamed “Margarita” by friends, her charismatic personality left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Margaret was the fifth of eight siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Renetta King, and son, Antonio Williams, both of Rockford, Illinois; two siblings, Kenneth Williams and Saletha (William) Black, both of Rockford, Illinois; her beloved granddaughter, Shiaere Williams of Rockford; and five great-grandchildren: Shi’yanna, Damarien, Khadein, Kash, and Yah’Cere Williams, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Rockford, Illinois. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, including her special lifelong companions Sally “Cooda” Gregory and Francis White, both of Rockford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Webster and L.V. Williams, and her siblings Charlene Andrews, Donald Williams, Vialine Stephens, Lucille Thompson, Lee Williams, and Webster Williams.
Margaret’s spirit, laughter, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
