Margaret N. Dunivant

Margaret N. Dunivant of Rockford departed this earthly life on April 13th, 2022. She was born March 11, 1976 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Thomasina Dunivant and Mark Freeman.

Margaret graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years before becoming ill. Margaret was a loving, kind and a good-hearted person. She had a heart of gold.

Margaret leaves to cherish her loving memories, two sons Denzel Dunivant and Detreyvion Malone; four grandchildren Aliyyah Dunivant, Arianna McNeely, Ayden Dunivant and Alakai Sanders; father Mark Freeman; one brother Marques Black Freeman; special aunt Georgia Cotton and special uncle Mark Dunivant , special cousin Katricia James, father of her twin sons Kevin Purifoy, special friend/sister Sandy Purifoy, godfather Allen Hawthorne, special friends Rikisha and Sheila Black, Annisa Henderson, Ann Barnes, Tasha Vella, Tosha Webb and a host of relatives and friends.

A special thank you to Unity Hospice, Reatha Patterson and the Amberwood staff who went above and beyond in caring for Margaret and to who all played a part in these last few weeks, it may have been a visit, a phone call, a prayer or just a thought. We truly appreciate it.

Margaret was preceded in death by her twin sons Keyvon and Kevyon Purifoy, mother Thomasina Dunivant, maternal grandparents Margaret and Thomas “TD” Dunivant paternal grandparents Viola and Andrew Freeman, aunt Rosena Dunivant.
