Marcus Gulley

Marcus Lavertis Gulley of Rockford departed his earthly life on December 24, 2021. He was born January 2, 1970 in Rockford, IL, the son of Ercie Lee Gulley and Murine Holt. Marcus lived in Rockford all his life. He was formerly employed at Pierce Distribution. Marcus attended Auburn High School in Illinois. He loved to cook/bbq, he also loved to cut hair and play basketball in his prime.

Marcus leaves to cherish many loving memories, three daughters, Tiera Floyd, Brittni Gulley, and Paris Goodwin, one son Austin Anthony, and five grandchildren. He has one brother Jerry (Laronda) Gulley, and three sisters, Theresa Gulley, Tammy Gulley, and Talish Brown and a host of nieces and nephews, and special friend Laetia Hayes.

He was predeceased by his parents, and four sisters, Debbie Bearden, Dorothy Goodwin, Sharon Smith and Lisa Gulley.

Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022, at Allen Chapel Church, 3000 Rural St, Rockford, IL 61107.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Arrangements completed by Collins & Stone Funeral Home, 128 S. 5th St., Rockford, IL 61104
