LuAnne Garver, 89, of Paris, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 21, 1936, in Paris, Illinois, she was the daughter of Richard Dunn and Rita (Tinsman) Dunn. LuAnne earned her GED and furthered her education by attending classes at the local community center.
In July 1953, she married her childhood friend, John Garver, whom she had known since the age of three. Together they built a loving family and shared a lifelong devotion. Luanne was also a dedicated and longtime member of Maywood Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, John; her brother, Richard (Bernice) Dunn; and a sister who passed away in childhood.
LuAnne’s legacy lives on through her family: her siblings Gary (Velma) Markwell, Ron (Sharon) Markwell, Ken (Cindy) Markwell, and Kathy (Charlie) Martin; her children Judy (Dennis) Gibbs, Diana (David) Watson, John Edward (Lisa) Garver, and Tina (Joseph) Watkins; as well as 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her faith, and the kindness she extended to all who knew her. Her strength, warmth, and devotion will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those she touched.
