Loretta Foreman, 74, received her wings on September 27th, 2021, in Charleston, SC after a short illness. She was born on May 18, 1947, in Reader, Arkansas to parents Hesley and Louella Foreman. After relocating to Rockford, IL with her family, Loretta attended West High School and later completed Nursing School at St. Louis Practical School of Nursing. She spent many years in the nursing field, eventually retiring from Alden Park Strathmoor, in Rockford, IL.
Loretta attended Providence Baptist Church in Rockford, IL and after moving to Charleston, SC, attended Evening of Prayer Ministries. Loretta enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, camping, and hosting parties. Bringing her large family together and enjoying life was her absolute passion. Loretta will be remembered for her generosity, kind heartedness, Christmas cookies and caramel cake!
Loretta is survived by her loving children, daughter, Veronica Foreman and sons Kendrick and Stacey Foreman, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is also survived by six of her eight siblings; Helen (Alfred deceased) Brewington, Jacqueline Foreman, Barbara Ann Dixon, Richard Allen Foreman, Wilma Jean Byrd and Christopher George Foreman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Willie Mack and Kevin Sam Foreman, and grandson and great grandson Justin and Laquavyion Foreman. Preceding her in death also was her dear friend Willie Tidwell.
Services will be held at Collins & Stone Funeral Home in Rockford, IL on Friday morning at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service.
