Latonya Alexander, 54, passed away on March 24, 2025, at SwedishAmerican Hospital (UW Health) due to complications from high blood pressure. She was born on December 9, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, to Walter Mcray and Gloria Evans Alexander.
Latonya attended Austin High School on the West Side of Chicago. She had a deep love for music, cherished time spent with family, enjoyed playing the slots, and found joy in watching movies.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Mcray. She is survived by her loving mother, Gloria Evans Alexander; her sister, Donita Alexander; and her special friend, Shenae Craig; Latonya leaves behind five children: Nikeya Travontae, Chyna, Kenneth, and Tyree; twelve grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; five nieces; one nephew; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, family, friends, and bonus grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.
Latonya’s warmth, laughter, and love for those around her will be deeply missed.
