Lamont O’ Keith Foster

Lamont Foster of Rockford, departed this earthly life Thursday, September 02, 2021.  He was born October 30, 1966 to Willie James Harris and Carolyn Ann Foster in St. Louis, MO.  

Lamont was known as "Monk" and he lived in Rockford for over 50 years.  Over the course of his life, he was self employed; and it was very rare that he turned down money LOL.  Monk received his GED and also attended RVC.  Monk was a very family oriented man, no matter where you were ... call on him and he was there.  He enjoyed amateur boxing in his spare time.  Lamont was joined in holy matrimony with Annette Hall for over 10 years.  

Lamont departed this life September 02, 2021; he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lillie Veasley; parents, Willie James Harris and Carolyn Ann Foster; his step father, Homer McCullough; stepson, Justin Foreman; uncles, John A. Foster, Willie E. Foster and Charles E. Copeland.   Monk leaves to cherish his memories three children, Lamont Banks of Decatur, IL and Delano Foreman of Rockford, IL and baby girl, Lamonica Rideout of Kankakee, IL;  He also leaves brothers, Aaron (Dorothy) Foster, Harold Foster, Lamont McCullough, Shawn McCullough and baby sister, Katrina (Randy) McCullough-Webb; eight grandchildren;  special friend Patricia Stanford-Payton; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

A repass will be held immediately following the service at Northwest Community Center 1325 N. Johnston Ave.
