Kenyatta Cabri Brown, of Nashville TN departed this earthly life February 11, 2024. She was born November 10, 1982 in Rockford IL, the daughter of Gladys Wills and Kenneth Brown Sr. Kenyatta worked as a Machine Operator. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, her church home since childhood. Kenyatta attended East High School of Rockford IL.

Kenyatta was known for her beautiful spirit and bright smile that could light up any room. She was also known as the “Protector” for her family, some would jokingly say she’d take a Lion head on to protect those she loved. Kenyatta loved to cook, enjoyed spending time with her beautiful grandchildren Ava & Arlo. Kenyatta and her beautiful smile, lively spirit, and cheerful personality will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her. 

Kenyatta leaves to cherish many fun and loving memories, her children, Amashaneek Taylor, Alishawuan Taylor, Marquez Taylor, B’ Yata Taylor; grandchildren, Ava and Arlo Taylor; mother Gladys Wills, and father Kenneth Brown Sr; three sisters, Kendra Brown, Amari Wills, and McKenzie Brown; brother, Kenneth Brown II; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends; including special cousins, Manya Collins and Zakkiyyiah Fuzzell; special friend, Micheal Greer. 

She was predeceased by her; maternal grandparents, Betty Jo McMorris and Willie Lee Edwards; paternal grandparents, Trudie and John Henry Brown.
