Keith Walston was born in Rockford Illinois on
April 16, 1973, to the parents of Jacqueline
Walston & Roger Lee Walston (ascended). He
finished his school education at Auburn High
School. He was baptized at Bethel Baptist
Church. Keith has always kept his faith in God.
Keith shared a special bond with his older
brother Lamont, who stepped up as a father
figure after their dad passed when Keith was
six. Despite their childhood antics, they grew
to respect and look out for each other as
adults.
Keith was a Hustler, Hard-worker, protector,
quick-witted, strong, funny, influential, hip
with a big heart, are a few of the words that
Keith’s loved ones would use to describe him.
Keith was the same with everyone, he didn’t
pretend. The hard lessons in his life turned
him into a beautiful person. He appreciated
where he came from to become the great
man he was. We can all agree that he was a
fighter above all.
Keith is survived by his devoted wife,
Carmencita Walston, and his three
cherished daughters, Taneisha, Keshauna,
and Jada Walston. He also leaves behind
his beloved grandchildren, Aiden and
Alaya, his mother Jacqueline McClelland,
and his stepfather Ken McClelland. His
brother Lamont(Ginger) Walston, sister
Lisa(Rick) Egbert, and extended siblings
Shawn (Erica) McClelland, Nick (Kim)
Bridgeman, Nicole (James) Brown, Tierre
Brazzell and all of his nephews and nieces
will deeply miss him. Keith was
predeceased by his father Roger L. Walston,
sister Hope Jones and his grandparents
who now embrace him in their eternal rest.
order of service
It feels unreal and I know I have not fully
processed that you are not here right
now. God’s Love Gives Me Strength. Your
Love Brought me Happiness. I’m thankful
to God for the twenty-seven years we had
together. I’m going to miss your smile, our
laughter, the love you had for your family
and your stubbornness, but most of all I’ll
miss you. You are truly my soulmate, and
the love of my life. I know I will see again
when God calls me home. I Love You,
Forever!
