Juanita West departed this earthly life August 22, 2023 at 4:45 AM born Juanita Pearson on April 21, 1938 in West Mississippi also known as Holmes County, daughter to Rosie Pearson and George Hopson.
Confessing to Christ Our Savior in West Missionary Baptist Church at a young age. Married Daniel West (Jr) on June 7, 1957, welcoming six children. Always enjoying surrounding herself with family, guiding, full of advice. She would arise from a sleep to sit and speak with us, it didn’t matter how late the night. Big sports fan and loved it all. Enjoyed her grand children, great grands.
Juanita is survived by her children, Jim, Sharon, Stanley, Steven, Glenda, Valerie; Grand, Great grand children. sisters, Mary Melvina; brothers, Clyde, Joe, in-laws, Ella, Joyce, Izola, Lula Mae, Lisa, Leroy, Curtis, and Jake and a host of nieces nephews, cousins; Special, cousin Frances of Freeport, Special friends, Alice, Annie Mae, Pat, Pearl.
Juanita is predeceased by her parents, Rosie and George; parent in-laws, Ida Lee and Doyle; husband, Daniel (Jr); grandparents Jim, Mary; brothers, Ardel, Claude, Marvin; sisters, Wilma, Rosalind; in-laws, Walter, Ida Mae, Patricia; Special aunts and uncles, Aunt Vera & Rev. Rudolph Shoults, Aunt Laura, Rev. Clayborn Saulter, Aunt Myrtle Pearson Sterling; one nephew, three nieces, two grandchildren and other relatives dear to her.
