Joy Swanson

Joy Swanson was born in Rockford,IL to James and Ruth Swanson on October 22, 1955. Joy graduated from East High School And worked various places doing housekeeping and work with Milestone. She visited Temple of God Holiness with her dear friend pastor Marie Mitchell.

Joy has two daughters Holly and Nicki whom she loved very much as well as her grandchildren who lit her heart up Keimarien,Jervon,Jasaan,Bella,Alaina and Catori. Joy made sure to always call and check on all her family. Joy loved her sisters Jan (Richard) Hamilton and Jill Ryden who she asked about on a daily. Although she was a woman of many words who struggled with mental illness, joy had a heart of gold. And she leaves to cherish many memories with nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joy was predeceased by her parents Ruth and James Swanson grandparents Walford and Victoria Johnson Andrew and Frieda Swanson.
