Jeff Allen Dickens was born August 21,1958 in West Mississippi to Carrie Mae (Dickens) Higgins.
Jeff attended Rockford Public School in Rockford Illinois. Jeff held several odd jobs, but he enjoyed being a chef most of all.
He was joined in holly matrimony with Sandra (Jordan) Dickens for seventeen years.
Jeff departed this life Wednesday July 15, 2020 at his home in Rockford Illinois from a massive heart attack at age 61. He was proceeded in death by biological mother Carrie Mae (Dickens) Higgins March 1963 in West Mississippi, Sadie Mae (Dickens) Fleming the mother who raised, loveed and cherished his as her own passed away May 1991 in Rockford Illinois. He also was processed in death by sisters Bobbie A (Fleming) Wright in Westminster Colorado, Ruby R (Fleming) Griffis May 2020 and brother in law Charles Griffis May 2020 both of Rockford Illinois, several aunts, uncles,cousins, two grandchildren and friends.
Jeff leaves behind to cherish his love and memories, wife Sandra Dickens, Rockford Illinois daughter Shatika Triplett and the light of his life grandson Darryl Kilgore both of Freeport Illinois, several stepchildren, Monica (Michael) Jackson, of Glendale Arizona, Zeon (Kathryn) Jordan of Rockford Illinois, Shelletta (Tyress) Love of Rockford Illinois, Jimeca (Tommie) Thomas of Colorado Springs Colorado, siblings: brother Howard (Tammy) Fleming of Racine Wisconsin, Mary (James deceased September 2019) Goldsby of Oakland California, Margaret Dickens -Thomas of Colorado Springs Colorado, Eva Wilson of Tucson Arizona, Theresa (Pat) Dickson of Colorado Springs Colorado, Kimberly (Hector) of San Antonio Texas, Shawnee (Larry) Purfoy of Lakewood Colorado, a host of grandchildren
four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; special brother-friend Larry Carthell.
Jeff loved to love people, his life was a living example of Bible verse Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind and compassionate to one another forgiving one another, just as God forgave you.
