Jaz " Romeo" Conley Smith of Rockford, IL departed this earthly life on June 9th, 2021, in Madison, WI. He was born October 6th, 1991, to Anita L. Smith and James E. Conley.
Jaz attended Auburn High School then Rock Valley College. He worked as a chef, cook and factory worker at various locations. Jaz was a member of St. Paul C.O.G.I.C.
Jaz leaves many memories to cherish by his mother Anita L. Smith and father James E. Conley, four daughters Mariyonna D. Smith, Janiya Smith, Jazala Smith and Zari Smith and son: Domero Smith. Jaz also leaves two brothers, Rayshawn Smith and Jeremiah Smith; two sisters, Anetra Castleman and Latricia Conley , a special nephew; Jarell smith and a whole host of nieces, nephews , cousins aunts and uncles.
Anyone who knew Jaz knew that he was always willing to help family and his laugh was contagious. he had an immense passion for basketball and shared that love with his daughter Mariyonna and was always a source of positivity. His family and friends will miss him more then words can say.
Preceded in death by two grandmothers; Ozzie Greer and Martha Stowe, grandfathers; John lee Smith, Carmmia Conley; great grandmother and grandfather; Sam Earl and Eddie Washington, Uncle; James Michael Smith, Aunty; Beverly Greer.
Jaz also leaves behind a host of special lady friends, in reference to his nickname " Romeo". Jaz was a donor of life, It is comforting to know he gave his life so others could live.
