James Jones III Obituary

James R Jones III affectionately known as "Little James "was born July 7, 1979, in Rockford ll to James R Jones ll and Toni Harris. James received Christ at an carly age. He was a member of The House of God Church. He loved God wholeheartedly, At the young age of 8 years, he was selected from a large group of young talented youth to give an oration at the meeting before approximately 3500 members. Little James wooed the crowd delivering a speech entitled "Now ls the Time to Awaken". The audience was stirred by this 8 year -old range's capacity and ability to deliver an intense oration using several words that the average 8 year old typically doesn't use. He often would tell his father, "Daddy I want to be the chief overseer of the church" and at 8 years old he meant this from his heart. James was the son of a pastor and grandson of a state Elder (Helen Jones). The seed of church was very well planted because later he would have a child ( Neely) whom he loved and adored that he would often have alongside him on Sundays
along with his nephew (Destine). James loved, protected, and adored Neely. James played the drums but dreamed of playing the keyboard. One of his fondest hobbies was fishing. He was an avid fisherman as he would go as often as he could. He loved sharing this time with his daughter, father, and brother. He also loved cooking as well as grilling. He would light up any room with his comedic personality. He was quite a comedian. He loved dancing and chilling with his sister Lakeeta or friends laughing, talking, and having a cold one. James also loved his dog, Coco, he would always take him with him everywhere he could. James loved to play and watch all sports, like his dad, he was a very accomplished athlete. He loved to bowl, play tennis, and shoot darts.

Leaving to cherish many fond and loving memories are his (Daughter) Neely Jackson, (Mother) Toni Harris, (Father) James R. Jones Il (Annette Love Jones), (Grandmothers) Elder Helen Jones, Thelma Taylor, (Sister) Lakeeta Jones Potts, (Brother) Corey Love- Jones (Dashonda), Isaiah Jones.
