James Earl Irwin Sr, a beloved father, son, and friend, was born on October 24, 1960, in Jackson, MS, and passed away on March 18, 2026. He dedicated his life to his work as a welder, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.
James found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones. He was an avid fisherman who cherished the quiet moments spent by the water. Sundays were reserved for family gatherings, where he enjoyed watching football, sharing laughter, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. His spirit and love for life were contagious, leaving a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
James is survived by common-law spouse Bobby Jean Collins, his children Jamesha Irwin, Demarcus (Amy) Collins and James Irwin Jr. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Demarus Collins Jr, Malaysia Collins, Jamarious Irwin, Kamarion Irwin, Nehemiah Warren, Maddison Irwin, Jamaziah Irwin, Jah'lya Irwin, Jalanna Irwin, Jahlani Irwin, James Irwin III, and great-grandsons Jermel Collins and Amais Collins. He is also survived by his siblings Shayne Irvin, Michael Irving, and Timothy Irvin, who will carry on his legacy of love and laughter.
As we celebrate James's life, we encourage all who knew him to remember the joyful moments shared and the love he spread so generously.
