Ida Lee (Bush) Eldridge, 86, took the hand of Jesus and went to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 12:20 a.m. after a brief illness. Ida was born in Giles County, Tennessee on September 3, 1934 to Myrtle (Patterson) Bush and James Marvin Bush.
Survivors include: Her twin sister, Annie Lee (Bush) Offett who shared a deep loving bond with her sister; her brother, Collier Bush; her only daughter, Marian E. Bryant (Steven) Jones will miss her greatest friend and supporter. Steven Jones, her son-in-law and pastor, loved and cared for Ida and will sorely miss her. Christian, her only grandson, who dearly loved his “Nana,” considers her as the kindest and sweetest person he has ever known.
Ida had many beloved family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Samuel C. Jones Jr. and her brothers, James Jr, John, Thomas, Willie, and Monroe Bush, and sister, Virginia (Bush) Dotson.
She attended Bridgeforth H.S. in Pulaski, TN. Ida was an evangelist and prophetess and through God’s Word, she touched many lives. She was a faithful member of Jesus Church Assembly, and a member of Kingdom Christian Center in South Bend, IN.
Ida will be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews, including Caroline Curry, Annette Neblett, and Ella and Tobe Brown who would make her laugh and smile. Beloved godchildreninclude: Canneth, Eric, Mia, Tina, Wesley, and Brian. David (Joy) Kelly is considered a “special son” to Ida.

The visitation is Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Collins & Stone Funeral Home, 128 S. 5th Street, Rockford, IL 61104. Facial coverings are requested. Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 19th at 12:00 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan Funeral Home & Washington Park North Cemetery at 2702 Kessler Blvd W. Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46228. Visitation will be before the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Monetary gifts will be appreciated.
