Horace W. Hubbard Sr.

Horace W.Hubbard Sr.departed thisearthly life on June 17th, 2023 at the age of 88 in Javon Bea Hospital,Rockford, Il. Horace Hubbard was born June 20, 1934 in Gurdon, Arkansas to George Hubbard and Bernice Allen Hubbard. Horace Hubbard graduated from Bell High School in Gurdon, Arkansas.  Horace married Lessie T. Jones on May 17, 1968 in Madison Wisconsin. From this union was born one child, Horace Winfred Hubbard Jr.

Horace was a dedicated member of The Christian Union Full Gospel Ministries Church were he served on the Deacon Board and member of the male chorus. Horace was and outstanding singer who loved to share his gift on God’s Programs. He also sang as a member of the Golden Aires Quartet and United Brothers. Horace's passions were singing and fishing.

Horace leaves to celebrate his homegoing, Lessie Hubbard his wife of 56 years, one son, Horace Hubbard Jr. of Rockford, II. grandson, Deontae (Jamie) Hubbard of Rockford II., two sisters, Eloise (Joe) Anderson of California, and Izetta Taylor (Pastor Verdell) of Lawrence, Kansas; brother in-law Wayne Brown, five sister-in-laws Mattie (Robert) Whitaker, Lucy (Arthur) Whitaker all of Rockford, IL., Patricia (Logan), Betty, Sandra (Ricky) Jones of Alabama, three granddaughters, Amber Hubbard, Yolanda Glenn, Dadrian Glenn; one Godson, Charlie (Mary) Whitfield of Rockford Il.,two God daughters, Sandra Smith and DeWayna Poe, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by both parents, one daughter, three sisters, four brother, and one grandson.
