Harriet Watson was born to Grace Watson and Gregory Jeter on January 27, 1972. From the moment she entered the world, Harriet brought joy and warmth to everyone around her. Growing up on the west side of Chicago, she attended Manley Career Academy. After graduating, Harriet selflessly put her dreams on hold to help care for her younger siblings and cousins, embodying a spirit of love and dedication.
Harriet was known far and wide for her exceptional cooking and her love of hosting backyard cookouts. Her gatherings were more than just meals; they were celebrations, laughter, and connection. If you were fortunate enough to be in her presence, you were sure to be smiling and laughing the entire time. Her humor and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
On August 16, 1991, Harriet welcomed the greatest joy of her life, her daughter, Kenya. Harriet cherished Kenya, and their bond was filled with love. Harriet’s legacy of love continues through her two beloved grandchildren, Kamora and Kayson, who were the light of her life.
