Grace Jenkins

Grace Carmen Jenkins (Moore) – Grace Jenkins, 75, died unexpectedly November 4, at OSF-St. Anthony hospital in Rockford, Illinois. She was born November 13,1947 in Yakima, Washington, the daughter of John Henry and Jetti Carmen Moore.

Grace graduated from New Plymouth High School in Idaho, Class of 1966. Following graduation, she attended a business college to learn administrative assistant skills. She married John Lester Gill and had two children, John C. Gill and Darcy D. Gill (Martoccia).  Surviving in addition to her children John and Darcy, are her son-in-law Mike Martoccia, daughter-in-law Samantha Gill, and dear grandchildren, Nico Martoccia, Joshua Gill, and Sydney Gill.

Those who wish to remember Grace should do so in the way they see most appropriate. The best gift of remembrance anyone could make would be this: Live a life pure in heart. Be honest with the world, be honest and true with yourself. Be wary and cautious of those that would use rhetoric to divide you from what is in your heart and/or from each other. Love yourself, love your family, love your community, be at peace, be calm, live a life from your heart.  Do not fall victim to distractions meant to steal your attention in order to make you fearful so that you start to believe in a reality that does not exist, especially a reality centered on monetizing and political sway.  Do not put value in things, stuff, status.  Value you and the people around you. Value nature and its divine beauty.  Take a walk, hide your phone, talk to the trees, the animals, the plants, commune.  Value connectedness and collectivity and power we can use from that to do good.  Do good, be good, be kind, be accepting, be gentle, love.
