George Floyd

George D. Floyd of Rockford, Illinois was born November 04, 1965,  he departed this life after a short illness on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. He was born to George and Mary Floyd.

He leaves to cherish his memory five sisters: Sandra Jackson, Gwen Floyd, Suzette Floyd, Carrie Floyd, and Johnnie Moore; and three brothers: Gerald Floyd, Curtis Jackson, and Anthony King.

He also leaves behind special friends: Dwayne Hawkins, Zack Wright, Ted Holliman, and Eric Gully; a special aunt, Betty Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Barry and Aaron; and his nephew, Lamar Neal.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Javon Bea Hospital, Van Matre, and the hospice team for their care and support.
