Geneva R. Hall Gates

Geneva R. Hall Gates affectionately known as “Jenny” departed this earthly life on March 31, 2023. Jenny was born March 3, 1968, in Chicago, IL to Mr. Edmond Berry and the late Mary Jane Douglas. Jenny graduated from Richard T. Crane High school and later graduated from Rockford Career College with degrees in both Nursing and cosmetology. Jenny attended Greater Unity Church Of God In Christ.

Jenny was married 42 years to the love of her life, Mr. Lawrence Gates. They both loved and shared 5 beautiful daughters: Latasha, Latricia, Jentiale, Tanessha, the late Chiquita Gates as well as her beloved step daughter, Laqueena Green. Mrs. Gates was blessed to have 16 Grandchildren and one Great grandchild and a special godchild, Daniel Hardy. Also leaving behind to cherish so many precious memories are her loving sister Jacqueline Hall, (sister-in-law) Regina Gates, (Brother-in-law) Andrew Gates as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death are (sisters) Elizabeth Hall, Teresa Hall and (Brother) Timothy Hall. She will be greatly missed, and the precious memories will be forever cherished.
