Elbert James Jr.

Elbert (Jose) James Jr departed this earthly life January 31st 2022.  He was born in Tchula, Ms on March 21st 1962 to the union of Elbert Sr and Fannie B James. He graduated from Guilford High School. He worked in Warehousing and was self employed as a carpenter until he retired.

He leaves to cherish is memory three daughters, Tameka Lambert and LaChanda James of Rockford, IL. and Alexis (Cameron) Henderson of Taylorville, MS;  one son, Darmarcus James of Rockford, IL;  eight grandchildren,  three great grandchildren, Lawrence Young, DaMarcus, DarMarcus Jr, Damarion, Damari, Da' Karter James, Cameryn Henderson of Taylorville, MS; Anastasia, Tiona Young, Kairo James;  sisters, Mattie R James of Ferguson, MO; Fannie D. Grayson of College Station, Tx; Nancy J Carr and Melissa James of Rockford, IL;  other siblings, Mr & Mrs Easter P. Lewis of South Carolina, Winnie (Clarence) Foote Lewis, Eddie Dean, Russell Straight, Rockford, IL. Dorothy Johnson, Jackson, MS Sharon & Eugene Brown of Peoria, IL; special Nephews, his name sake Jose Le Juan James, Terry James; special nieces, Katricia James, Jessica Butler ; several other nieces and nephews that he adored; special Aunt, Elizabeth Roby whom she loved as her own; Big Brother / Cousin to Alesia Harris, Selena (Aaron) Ingram of Rockford, IL; Vertina Charles of Woodstock, Ga; several other Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends; special friends wife, Lesia James and Sheila Chears Mothers of his children
