Edward Newsome

Edward Earl Newsome, of Rockford departed this earthly life March 1, 2025. He was born February 13, 1952 in New Hebron , Mississippi the son of Melvin Sr. and Delma Mae Newsome. Earl lived in Rockford , for 50 years coming from Pinola. Edward was employed at Warner-Lambert , before retiring. He graduated from New Hymn High School. 

Edward leaves to cherish many loving memories, his four daughters Carla Newsome. Malisa Smith, Adrienne Meeks, Veronica Meeks ; his three sons, Craig Newsome , Terry Russey , Marcus Meeks ; seventeen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five sisters, Carolyn Walker, Betty Moore, Delois Magee, Loretta Hamilton and Kinyetta Jones; brothers; Thomas Newsome, Walter Newsome and Mikel Newsome; a host of nieces nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents, Melvin Sr. and Delma Mae Newsome, son Craig Newsome , son in law Bobby Smith, his brothers; Melvin Newsome Jr. Howard Newsome and four sisters, Doris Helen Newsome, Annie Hooker , Urickia Newsome, and Doris Newsome.
