David Causey

David Brian Causey, age 49, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Swedish American Hospital.  He was born February 10, 1971 in Chicago, Il to Hubert Burguess and Bernice Davis Causey.  While in high school, David developed his passion for the arts by participating intheater and choir.  David graduated from East High School in 1989.  After high school, David attended Illinois State University to study theater and went on to receive a bachelor degree in arts in 1993.  David was employed and performed with various theater companies in Chicago, Illinois.  He had the opportunity to entertain and educate audiences across the U.S. and parts of British Colombia, Canada.  Throughout David’s career, he maintained relationships and enjoyed performing with Starlight Theater, Artist Ensemble, and the Rockford Area Arts Council.  David also enjoyed teaching and directing children theater.  
David is preceded in death by (mother) Bernice Davis Causey (father) Hubert Burguess.  David is survived by (cousins) Carolyn Hobbs, Paula Lambert, Leonard Mackey,Lashaunda Buford-Allen, Darlene Harris, Joyce Mosby, Dannette Hoarde, John Davis, (mother figure) Dorothy Paige- Turner, (brother) Danny.
