Darrell Love

Darrell Augustus Love, Sr. "POPS"(60)  suddenly departed this earthly life on July 8, 2023. He was born on April 16, 1963, in Charlotte North Carolina, the son of Johnny and Beveline (Scott) Love. 

Darrell attended Pepperell High School in Lindale Georgia where he graduated class of 1982. He played on the football team. Darrell was a chef and had a passion for cooking. You could certainly taste the love in every dish he prepared. He enjoyed and seemed to be the happiest while spending time with his family and friends. He was also a car and motorcycle enthusiast. He had a great love for life and was very generous. He will be missed but always remembered. 

Darrell was preceded in death by his mother, Beveline Love.

Darrell leaves to cherish loving memories his wife of 37 years Ursula; Sons Darrell Love, Jr. and Eric Thomas; Daughters  Erica (Nikki) Jackson, Candice Love, Courtney Love; 26 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his father, Johnny Love (Daddy Love); two beloved sisters  Angela Thomas and Sarita Love; a host of nieces, nephews cousins, and many friends. Darrell’s memories will always linger in the hearts of everyone who loves him. 
 

There will be a visitation beginning @ 10 am on July 24, 2023, with a celebration of life beginning at noon. The service will be held at Collins and Stone Funeral Home 128 S. 5th Street Rockford, IL 61104.
