Danna (Dannie) Mae Kinard was born March 19, 1955 in Cairo, Illinois to her parents, Rosemary Kinard and James Scott.
She departed this life on August 19, 2023 at Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois. After a short illness.
Danna began her Christian journey at a young age, singing and glorifying the Lord. Later in life she became the lead singer in the gospel group The Singing Angels of Joliet, Illinois.
Danna also was a nurse at River Bluff nursing home for over 20 years.
In 1990 she moved to Rockford, Illinois with her children and became a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, where she would serve as a choir member under the leader ship of Reverend Charles Sims.
Danna leaves to cherish her memories brothers, Verandis and Taryish Kinard; sister, Dallas Love and her children, Gene Kinard, Larenzo (Angel) Kinard, Darin (Shereece), Monica Kinard, Melody Kinard, and Tashee Kinard; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rosemary Kinard, James Scott; sister, Dorothy Kinard and grandson, Gene Kinard Jr.
All who loved Danna will take great comfort in knowing that she is in a better place we have not said goodbye to her but see you later.
