Chester Woods III

Prince Chester AKA Boomzie Woods III 39, of Rockford died unexpected November 28, 2021.  He was born to the union of Wanda and Chester Woods Jr. on October 7, 1982.

Prince Chester attended Guilford high school and was an apprentice of his father, Chester Woods Jr in the family trade of carpentry and masonry, but among all jobs, our brother fulfilled the most important responsibility of all…he was the 1 special friend that could be whatever you needed him to be at that time.  Chester was a very wise young man, very much so like his father.  I assure you he has left you with a memory that will always live on beyond that will make you smile even though he would give it to you straight.  Chester was a very loving person, he loved his family and enjoyed taking trips, listening to music and eating good food.  Our brother was our protector.

He leaves to cherish many loving memories Queen grandmother, Tessie Woods, three sisters, Jeannetta Woods, Kenisha Woods, Chiara Woods;  three brothers, Darron Woods, Ronald Woods, and Sean Woods, and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.  Special friend, Liz Smith.

Predeceased by both parents; grandfather, Robert Woods; three aunts, Eloise Pearson, Doris Holliman and Margaret Watkins.
