Cassandra Melton

Cassandra “BIG C” Melton was born on December 13, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois, to Josephine Loretta Melton and James B Bryant. 

Cassandra attended Delano Elementary and John Marshall High School. She later got her GED in 1992. Cassandra was a loving mother and sister. She was loved by many. Cassandra loved to dress to impress, from her head down to her shoes. She had a big fetish for clothes and shoes. Cassandra also was crazy about her Pepsi. If she didn’t have one, she would call around for someone to go and get her one. 

Cassandra Melton departed her life on January 14, 2024, proceeded in her death by her parents, Josephine Melton and James Bryant, son, Akeem Morris, sister, Diane Melton, two brothers, Joseph Lee Melton and Johnny C Melton, nephew Leon Melton, grandparent Mary Ann Rowe, Walter Melton, aunt Dorothy Jean Rowe, and Catherine Henningin.  

She leaves to cherish her memories children, Nicole, Nicholas, Timmeka and Shanquell, three sisters, Maxine Mayfaye and Denise Melton one brother Undra, Melton, eight grandkids, Skylar, Ki’Mani, Kion, Prince, Messiah, Armani, Makaylah and Ki’Yani. Eleven nieces and ten nephews. Special friends, Sabrina, Sabina, Kimberly, Sharon, Tamika, and Toya, a host of other special relatives and friends.
