Carol Wright Obituary

In Loving Memory of Mrs. Carol Denise Wright

November 26, 1967 – March 18, 2025

With profound sorrow and deep love, we celebrate the life of Mrs. Carol Denise Wright, who began her earthly journey on November 26, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, born to her devoted parents, Nathaniel and Mattie Ingram.

Carol accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Harvest Baptist Church in Chicago, IL, establishing a foundation of faith that would guide her throughout her life.

She was a woman full of life, radiating joy and warmth wherever she went. Known for her vibrant personality and infectious spirit, Carol had a presence that could light up any room. She was a dedicated line worker at Cintas in Rockford, IL, and a loving caretaker for her mother and father.

A true fashionista, Carol had an undeniable flair for style. In her younger years, she graced the runway in numerous fashion shows, always exuding confidence and elegance. No matter the occasion, she carried herself with poise and brilliance, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

In July of 1991, Carol met the love of her life, Harvey Lee Wright. Their love story flourished, and they united in marriage on January 15, 1992, building a bond that stood the test of time.

Carol’s greatest joy in life was her family. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Harvey Lee Wright; her children, Edward (Ida) Ingram, Clarissa Ingram, Latoya Ingram, and Wanda Cross; and her stepchildren, Latonya Walker, Lashonda Walker, Latoya Walker, and Harvey Walker, Jr. She was a proud grandmother to sixteen grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to four. She also leaves behind her siblings, Sharon (Ramon) Osorio, Nathaniel (Melinda) Ingram, Maurice (Bonita) Ingram, and Carl (Atlene) Ingram, along with a host of beloved extended family and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Mattie Ingram; her son, Michael Ingram; and her brothers, Elijah Spears and Tyrone Ingram.

Carol’s legacy is one of love, strength, and grace. She touched many lives with her kindness, beauty, and unwavering dedication to her family. Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved

“Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
