Bonnie J. Brown

Bonnie Jean Brown, 71, of Rockford, passed away on September 12, 2024, at PA Peterson at the Citadel.  Born on June 15, 1953, in Belvidere, Illinois, to Glen and Doris Elliott.

Bonnie graduated from West High School. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was married to Willie Brown for 22 years. Bonnie enjoyed working at the Rescue Mission until she became ill.

She found joy in sending out cards—thank you cards, thinking of you cards, birthday, holiday, and sympathy cards—to people all over the world, including Africa. Bonnie will be remembered for her kindness, love, and forgiveness.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory:

    •    Her husband, Willie Brown
    •    Two children: Richard Rupprecht and Christine Rupprecht
    •    Marital son: Shontay Wilson
    •    Three sisters: Karen (John) Salzer, Glenda (Mike) Bonham and Nancy (Max) French
    •    Two grandchildren: Paige Koch and Julia Kappes
    •    Her special aunt, Leota Romig
    •    Special friends: Jill and Terry Eklund, and John Stuckmann
    •    A host of nieces and nephews

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Doris Elliott, and her paternal grandparents, Frank and Savilla Elliott.
