Berlin Sanders Jr.Also known affectionately as "P-Nut," of Rockford, Illinois, departed this earthly
life on August 15, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1966, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Berlin
Sanders Sr. and the late Betty Sanders.

Berlin received his education in both Rochester, New York, and Rockford, Illinois. He accepted
Christ a t a young age and carried his faith with h i m throughout his life. Over t h e years, h e
worked various jobs, always known for his strong work ethic and kind spirit.
Berlin had a deep love for children and was a nurturing presence to those around him. Family
and friends meant everything to him. He especially enjoyed listening to the blues and the music
o f Lyfe Jennings. Known for living life to the fullest, Berlin's favorite saying was, "You can't tell a
grown man what t o do."

He leaves to cherish many loving memories: his fiancée, Tiseka Curry, and her children, whom
a s h i s o w n ; Brandicus, Quintavies, Constance, Jokesha, Tr e n a t h a n : 2 0 beloved
grandchildren who affectionately knew him a s Grandpa; his father, Berlin Sanders Sr.; his
brothers, Keith (Sharon) Sanders, Steven (Tiara) Sanders, Kendrick (Chaney) Bell and Vincent
Sanders; his aunts, Sandy Tucker, Ola (William) Bernel, and Thelma Sanders; his uncle, Lavertis
Carolyn) Stewart; H e a l s o leaves b e h i n d numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a n d
friends-including his best friends Eric Sander, Dwayne Polk, the Jones brothers, and his cousin
Special thanks are extended t o the UW Hospital Critical Care Unit for their compassionate care.

Berlin was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Sanders; his brother, Harry Sanders; nephew,
Eric Burks; uncles B e r t Tucker, James Otis Sanders, a n d J o h n Winton Sanders; a n d h i s
grandparents, Lucille and (Elmer) Tucker, Harry Smith, Leotis Sanders, and Roberta Sanders.
Berlin, "P-Nut," will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
