Andrew J. Owens Jr.

Andrew Jerome Owens Jr. departed this earthly life on October 27, 2019 after a long illness.  Andrew was born December 27, 1951 in Rockford, Illinois to his wonderful parents Andrew and Essie Owens. 

Andrew attended schools in Rockford, where he played football for both Jefferson and East High School.  He moved to St. Louis, Missouri from Rockford, Illinois where he lived life to the fullest.  His greatest joys were watching football and spending time with his wife Celeste.  Andrew leaves to cherish two sisters Elizabeth Glenn and Helen (Jimmy) Spant, both of Rockford, IL.One brother Mitchell Owens of Fulton, MO.  Six sons Andre Allen; Reginald Owens; Marcus Owens; Derrick Owens; Hosea Jones all of Rockford, IL and Jamie Buchanan of St. Louis, MO.  Five grandchildren Kayla Wilkie and Sierra Wilkie of Rockton, IL;    Arianna Owens of Beloit, WI; Amira Owens and Marcus Owens of Rockford, IL.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and loved ones.

Andrew is predeceased by his parents, his wife Celeste Owens, his daughter Shontae Owens and his brothers Ivory Owens & Archie Owens.
