ALBERTA B. WEATHERALL was born in Indianola, Mississippi on March 18, 1932 to W.M. Ramsey and Rosie Lee Jones. She graduated from Sycamore High School in Sycamore, IL; Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL and attended Rockford Business College. She married Joel Weatherall on September 12, 1964.
ALBERTA was employed by Barber Colman Company in Rockford for almost 8 years and the State of Illinois for 26 years. She was a faithful member of Pilgrim Baptist Church where she joined in 1958. She was a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years, served as a Trustee, a charter member of the Circle of Esther, Steward of Mission and Education, Financial Secretary and on the Budget Committee. After moving to Georgia in 2011, she was welcomed into Fellowship by Clarkston First Baptist Church in Clarkston, Georgia.
ALBERTA led a beautiful life full of laughter, style and wit. She had an infectious personality and the ability to make you laugh till you cried. For years, she was known to be a red head, but after a life changing event, she embraced her beautiful silverhair which many people still envy to this day.
ALBERTA leaves to cherish many loving memories, her children: John Randall Weatherall, Karen Renee Weatherall and Beneta Jo (Trent-Fiance’) Weatherall; special cousins Rosie Lee (Bobby) Farrar and Annie Lee (Milton & E.H.E.) Gilbert. In addition to those listed above, those left to cherish great memories are 12 grand children, 16 great-grandchildren,including Shanquerian Russell, who she lovingly raised, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of beloved relatives and friends including special friends: Dorothy Green, Dave Johnson, Lucille Owens, Shirley Hamill and Miriam Smith.
ALBERTA was predeceased by her husband, Joel Weatherall, daughter Cyndi Overton, son Stephen Weatherall, one great-grandchild, Armani Hicks, sister Hallie B. Williams, parents W.M. Ramsey & Rosie Lee Jones and grandparents George & Ella Jones.
